Frank Gehry Bares All (His Thoughts) for Playboy!

In an epic interview in the January issue of Playboy, Frank Gehry reveals many of his thoughts on the Guggenheim in Bilbao, the Disney Concert Hall, and why he doesn't design homes. Gehry tells us all about whether or not he has a big ego, the need for sustainability, and newer buildings by other architects that he likes just to name a few.

“The thing is, I hate the celebrity architect thing. I just do my work. The press comes up with this stuff and it sticks. I hate the word starchitect. Stuff like that comes from mean-spirited, untalented journalists. It’s demeaning. It’s derisive, and once it’s said, it sticks. I get introduced all the time, ‘Here’s starchitect Frank Gehry…’ My reaction: ‘What the fuck are you talking about?‘

We are not necessarily Frank Gehry Fanboys but this interview gave us a new profound appreciation for the architect.

Do not miss this incredible Frank Gehry interview in the January issue of Playboy.
